This year, the „Global Money Week“ will take place between 10 March and 17 March, involving around 2 million children from over 100 countries in the world. The activities will be organized by over 500 institutions and organizations.
On 01.02.2014 (Saturday) in the Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance (MAPAS) President of the Council of Experts MAPAS Dr. Bulent Dervisi , President of the Management Board of NLB Nov penziski fond AD Skopje, Davor Vukadinovic and member of the Management Board of KB Prvo penzisko drustvo AD Skopje, Philip Nikoloski promoted the green envelope and the delivery of yearly statements to all members of the mandatory and voluntary pension funds.
MAPAS announced the latest change that was introduced in the pension regulation of regarding to the delivery of statements on yearly basis to all members of the mandatory and voluntary pension funds. The changes are related on the format and content of these statements in terms of their greater visibility and simplicity, easy level of readability and better visualization for all members. Additionally the statements to all members of the mandatory and voluntary pension funds will be delivered in a green envelope in order to be easy recognisable.
Representatives of the Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance (MAPAS) have visited Jadranka Kolevska from Skopje, who is the 350,000 member in the second pillar. Jadranka Kolevska was introduced with MAPAS role in the reformed pension system and her rights as a member of the second pillar.
Since 01.01.2014, the two pension companies that manage the pension funds reduced the fee of contributions from 3.75% to 3.5% according to the maximum limit specified in the Law on Mandatory Fully Funded Pension Insurance, where is provided gradually reducing of the amount of this type of fee. With this continues the trend of decreasing the cost for this type of insurance, which existed in the past years.
Within the educational campaign for young people under the slogan: "My company is my choice and saving my future ...”MAPAS and representatives of pension companies since the beginning of the campaign until 11.12.2013 have visited 30 secondary schools in more cities across our country. Presentations were held in classes of secondary school students in the fourth year and were given information brochures. On the presentations was great attendance and interest from the young people to the topic for pension savings.
Also on 5.12.2013 MAPAS and representative from the pension company visited the Faculty of Economics - University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius “ in Skopje and was held a presentation to the students and also informational brochure were given. During the presentation were clarified their rights and responsibilities as potential future members in the reformed pension system, which includes their active role and decision-making.
The campaign continues next semester visiting secondary schools and colleges.
