On May 10 and 11, 2012 in Skopje was held the Second IOPS Regional Workshop on Pension Supervision gor CEE, CIS, CAUCASIA and CENTRAL ASIA REGIONS and the IOPS-IAIS PCG JOINT SEMINAR ON CROSS-SECTORAL ISSUES. This was the first time that the Republic of Macedonia was a host of such an event.
The main topic of the Workshop was risk-based supervisor of pension funds.
More than 30 participants from around 15 countries attended the two events in Skopje.
The project “Support to the Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance” is currently implemented in the Agency, as part of the IPA component TAIB 2008.
On December 14, 2010 Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Agency for Supervision of Fully Funded Pension Insurance (MAPAS) and the Agency for Supervision of Insurance (ASO).
On April 12, 2011 in Skopje, the International Conference on the Pension Reforms and Future Challenges will mark the fifth anniversary from the introduction of the fully funded pension insurance and will acknowledge the successful cooperation with the World Bank in the area of pension reforms.
